This guy is ridiculously good. I hate doing self portraits, but this makes me want to try.
We’ve seen a lot of 365 projects, but David Talley’s really took it to the next level, well done.

Can’t sleep and this song is now stuck in my head. I still need to write a paper for a writing class tomorrow. Tonight’s gonna be a long night…
INSANE
Pretty amazing use of the GoPro HD camera. Fast forward to 3:00 minute mark to see the launch, but whole thing is awesome.
Qu8k - High Altitude Rocket On-board Video
View from attached cameras give viewpoints from a launched home-made rocket capable of MACH 2 speeds into the air, travelling 22 miles in 90 seconds.
On September 30, 2011 at 11:08am, Derek Deville’s Qu8k (pronounced “Quake”) launched from the Black Rock Desert in Nevada to an altitude of 121,000’ before returning safely to earth. Above 99% of the atmosphere the sky turns black in the middle of the day and the curvature of the earth is clearly visible.

I’ve been looking forward to this album. I’m seeing them in November, so hopefully it’s good.
How awesome would it be to find a cold ice cream truck in the middle of the desert?
